The Montgomery College Science and Technology Park on the Germantown
Campus is being developed to maximize synergy between the educational
programs of Montgomery College and the bioscience and technology
industry in the I-270 Technology Corridor. The Park is being developed
as a partnership with private industry with groundbreaking scheduled in
Q1 of 2007.
Strategic partnerships with the University of Maryland College Park,
Universities at Shady Grove, Johns Hopkins University, the Montgomery
County Public Schools and the bioscience and technology companies in the
region allow the College to operate a unique Bioscience Education and
Training Continuum, supported by the National Science Foundation, that
will reach from middle school to the post doctoral levels to ensure a
pipeline of well-educated and highly trained scientists, technicians and
entrepreneurs.
